“Do not despise this small beginning, for the eyes of the Lord rejoice to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. For these seven lamps represent the eyes of the Lord that see everywhere around the world.” (Zechariah 4:10)
I am very excited to share with you that after 18+ years of being a certified music educator in the public school system, I am beginning a new journey; a journey that I have literally prepared for and looked forward to all of my life. As we all know, anything worthwhile can be difficult and requires a steadfast determination to see it through. Sometimes, it requires a zeal that no one understands except you, especially during the beginning phases. Like a seed, it needs to be tended. Like a house, the very foundations have to be worked on in order for the house to stand the test of time. The bigger the project, the more time and effort needs to be laid aside for its foundation. Gazing from a distance, there are those near and far that appreciate the effort and would like to lend a helping hand. The time has come. Today, we begin. Finally, we start. And we will not despise our small beginning.
